Soap Addict was born out of my own passion for healthy body products, and my obsession with handmade soap. I was using handmade soap in my own shower long before I began making it myself. After several years of stock piling handmade soap from all over the country (I literally had bags full), I decided to start making my own soap and body products (and deemed myself the soap addict my friends and family all agreed it was fitting).
The body’s largest organ, the skin, soaks up 60% of what you put on it, which is why it’s always been important to me what I feed my skin. I only create products that I would use myself, and they are all completely free of parabens, phthalates, artificial colors, fragrances and preservatives. In other words, you won’t find any junk here, only natural, skin-loving ingredients.
All of my products are vegetarian-friendly, and most are vegan. I use local ingredients whenever possible, and use herbs from my own backyard (organic, of course!). And everything is cruelty-free and animal friendly no animal testing ever.
All of my soaps are made by hand in small batches using the cold process method. Each bar is lovingly cut by hand and cured for at least a month, making each one a long-lasting, mild bar of soapy goodness. Each bar may vary slightly from the last due to its handmade nature.
Soap Addict was founded in 2009 by Karla Suarez and is based in Fort Worth, Texas.
